Are you one of the many people looking for a way to prevent aging skin?
Since this generation is most worried about aging with 30% of women under 35 regularly using anti-aging skin care products, I believe the answer is yes. Millennials studied show that the average age for using anti-aging products is 26! This is considerably younger than their mothers who didn’t rely on anti-aging products until age 47.
As the skin care industry is marketing anti-aging products to the younger generation, it is evident that this generation is much more concerned with wrinkles, loss of skin volume and visible lines. There is more focus on protecting skin from sun damage that prematurely ages skin and a variety of products on the market to prevent or reverse the signs of aging.

As we age, the skin suffers wear and tear and the collagen and elastin responsible for keeping skin firm weakens and the skin becomes thinner. Although we cannot control intrinsic aging that is determined by genetics, we can control extrinsic aging that is affected by environment and lifestyle choices. In addition to using anti-aging products, reducing alcohol, quitting smoking, eating clean, exercising, sleeping well and reducing stress all aid in slowing down the aging process in general, and in the skin in particular. Antioxidants such as Vitamins A, E and C are important in keeping skin young and healthy, so eating 5 to 7 servings of fruits and vegetables each day will ensure consuming enough antioxidant rich foods.
The search for anti-aging products can be a daunting task with the variety of options on the market. Here is an easy solution. Use an anti-aging cleanser, toner and moisturizer twice per day. Look for the following ingredients:

The key point is do NOT wait until you are older to take care of your skin. As early as 21 years old, know your skin type and use products that suit your needs, wear moisturizer and eye cream and drink plenty of water in addition to the above suggestions. The skin is an organ and needs to be taken care of similarly to other major organs in the body. You get out of your body what you put into it and the same is true for the largest organ of the body, your skin!
